Hi all - When making/generating PDF files using a scheduled batch output, it would be the default that Omniscope uses a full screen instance to generate the PDF screen shots. At this moment Omniscope uses the window size of the last Omniscope that was opened. I hope this can be fixed in 2.7. Thanks in advance!
Alexander - in the Batch Control Distibution IOK file that controls the creation and distribution of these batch publishing files, what empty/stale template IOK file are you entering in the row specifying the PDF output? Is the full path to the IOK template file being followed? What screen size is the IOK template file set to? Is the template IOK file screen size being used to generate the PDF file?
Open the template file listed for the report you are trying to deliver in PDF. Check Settings> Window size, set to say, SXGA and save the file, but in the save dialogue, at lower right, also tick the option to Preserve window size and postion. This is how you control the size of the file opening on the recipient's computer screen.
However, computer screen sizes do not align with paper document print sizes. If you are generating PDF files for printing as A4 paper documents, you should also change the Layout page settings in the empty template file here:
Style > Layout method > Edit page settings
You will need to experiment a little with template page settings for each Report IOK file, e.g. A4, single or multi-page, landscape or portrait, etc.
The need to fine-tune the template file Settings and Layout for each screen size (think 7-inch tablets vs old XGA monitors) and each potential document layout (A4 portrait and/or landscape?) is one of the reasons Omniscope allows you to specify a different empty template file in each row of the batch configuration file.
