Pivot View - Date in the actual order ?
  •     dszl136154 August 15, 2012 8:36AM

I converted date into text to be able to add it as a dimension to the pivot view but the date order is not right e.g.
    01 Apr12
    01 May12
    02 Apr12
    02 May12 ....etc
Is it possible to get date in the actual date order in the pivot view?

    Hi,

Thanks for the question. Unfortunately in the old Pivot view you can only select category fields as the X/Y dimensions. This means that the order of the values will by default by in alphabetical order rather than date order (since they are no longer dates, Omniscope no longer treats them as such). Unfortunately the only way to remedy this is to manually change the value order (Data>Manage Fields>Options>Value order, colours and shapes).

If you are able to, we strongly suggest you switch to Omniscope 2.8, which is available to Alpha partners. In Omniscope 2.8 we have added a new Pivot view. Amongst the new features we have added the ability to select ANY field as an X/Y dimension. This means that you don't need to convert it to text AND the values will be displayed in date order.
