My query was whether or not you are able to copy a tab from one IOK file to another? Some of my files are a subsection of other files and having developed some tabs in one i wanted to copy to them to another without having to start from scratch
This is not possible at the moment, and we do not have plans to introduce this feature. It would only be useful if the two files had the same structure.
You could replace the data in your file with the data in the file you want to use the same tabs. Open the file with the tabs you want to use in another data file, switch to DataManager and drag on a dataset that you want to use those tabs. Finally click the 'load' button on the imported block to overwrite the data. Once you have replaced the data you should remember to save it using a different file-name.
Unfortunately there is no way of combining a set of tabs from one file with a set of tabs from another. If there is sufficient demand we may implement this in the future.
