Network View: Labeling nodes based on value?
  • DQuintas January 18, 2013 5:29AM
I've tried to label a node based on the value of a field. It appears that the value that appears on the label takes into account all records as opposed to the filtered records only. Is there a way to show the value based on the filtered records?

Please see the Node Label option (button with ABC on it), then select the value field, and number function below (sum, mean etc.) .
Under the Network View appearance options menu, you have further choice to format the font, display the field name next to the value and more.
You need to make sure you select the Filtered Data as your Data Subset.

    Hi Paola,

The number field function is set to maximum and the Data Subset is Filtered Data. I'm also coloring the nodes based on the same field and function and that is working properly. It is just that the label is not showing the correct values

Could you please send us the file (or just a sample) so someone can look into it? Thanks

Filter on category 3. You'll see that the node label value does not change - and it should.
