I am trying to deliver a version of an IOK report for people with the Omniscope Viewer. People are supposed to set filters in the right sidebar on the first tab and, since the report has about 10 tabs, they should be also apply those filters to all subsequent tabs.
Unfortunately, the viewer does not offer the little wrench icon which has the "apply to all tabs" option?
Is there another way to solve this? A quick reply would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Alex, you need to create duplicates of your tabs by clicking on the arrow next to the tab name>New>Copy of current tab (advanced) In the Create new tab window - please untick Filter states and Variable states. Copies of your tabs will appear in italics, and you can now delete the original tabs. This setting should enable your free Viewers to apply same filter to all tabs...
One quick addition: If you leave non-advanced tabs in your report, selecting them will cancel out all filters you made for the advanced tabs. We can work around this, but it might be interesting for others to know.
Conceivably you could have a tab group which has shared filter settings across all child tabs, persistent after switching to another tab group and back.
Also suggests workarounds using Content Views to design your own tab menus.
