IOKs are already hugely compressed, far smaller than the equivalent CSV or Excel file.

To compress even further, use the "strong compression" option in the Save dialog. This isn't enabled by default, because it requires a large overhead of free memory to save (not open) and takes significantly longer to save.

Once ticked, the option will persist for subsequent saves.
