I am currently using the 52 week moving average option within a line graph. However, I am have 51 weeks where there is no data being shown (I have a separate graph showing the absolute numbers throughout the time series). Is anyone aware of any way that I can reduce my x-axis to remove this blank area without having to manually specify which weeks I want to be active so that I can keep the chart as dynamic as possible? Or if not, does anyone know of anyway to overlay one graph over another, enabling me to hide/reduce the blank area?
I think what you're asking for isn't currently possible. But please could you post an example IOK file here which illustrates the problem. This will at the very least allow us to define this as an Idea.
Many thanks for your reply Steve. I didn't think I was able to do it but just wanted to check.
The file I have attached below is just a quick example I have written up but it highlights the same issue this time for 12 month moving average. Obviously with a 52 week MA the issue is highlighted further...
If you reduce the months in the slider within the right toolbar it reduces both charts but keeps the large blank area.
The ideal here would be to remove either the first 11 months where we have no data showing because there is not a full 12 months data, or to be able to place part of the left graph over that blank area.
Thanks for posting the file. It's scaling the graph axes according to the markers, which aren't showing. Until we can address this, you will need to set a manual zoom region.
