Several marketing services agency customers & prospects have asked for a built-in solution to layer marketing spend or other information on top of [UK] ITV Regions via Map views (http://bit.ly/mhi3GB).
On a related note, I was recently told that Google has its own of view on UK TV consumption and so has, allegedly, created its own designated market area (DMA) i.e. Google Marketing Area (GMA). If true, this might be a useful addition in Omniscope as well.

James - custom layers on Map Views with (selectable) boundaries and data visualisations linked to these custom layers/regions is frequently requested, and we are keen to introduce it, perhaps in stages driven by detailed requirements. What is the source of the data that defines the (custom) perimeters of these advertising regions..Nielsen? ..ITV? Do the boundaries match UK post codes? Is a license required to distribute the maps/boundaries?
A future version of Omniscope should be able to import a layer/boundary files that define custom layer perimeters in terms of long/lat coordinates that match the mapping, but the boundary/mesh file would have to be available in a mapping format, e.g. .shp files, or else the perimeter of the regions would have to be drawn manually in a .svg type file.
