Can Omniscope displays be updated live, in real time, across my network and the web?

Yes, beginning with version 2.3, any number of Omniscope files can poll and receive updates from another linked source Omniscope file or directly from a supported data file or linked source database. If the linked data source is not an .IOK/.IOM file, the Auto-refresh option will always return the 'child' user file configurations to match the configuration of the source .IOK/.IOM file upon each opening. If users wish to preserve personalised .IOK/.IOM configurations while refreshing only the data from a single Omniscope source file, configure a source .IOK 'data mart' file as the linked data source. Note: Unless special commercial publishing licenses are in place, data refresh is not a feature of the free Viewer. If a linked source 'data mart' Omniscope file is used, it is normally itself refreshing on a shorter time interval (or immediately, if triggered by changes) from the source database using the Enterprise Scheduler or Generator.

For more information, see the User Guide sections on Refreshing Data and the KnowledgeBase discussions of Import & Refresh options and Auto-Refresh.
