Named Queries Issues

Hi
I setup a number of named queries and then decided I needed to use 2 of these on a chart.
So I ticked both the named queries and created a new named query. I applied it to the chart and it was all working fine.
I then went to data manager and changed one of the fields (not on that was being used in the chart or that was used in the queries (completely unrealted)). I went back to chart to find that the query no longer works and I have to rebuild it.
What am I doing wrong?

How do you mean - no longer works? Have you looked at what "diagnose query" shows?

Yes I have run the diagnose query and it shows the 3 variables I have setup to filter but doesnt not filter them.
