New fields in filter panel expand as default

    New fields added to the dataset are automatically added to the filter panel, which is exactly what we want.
    Due to the large number of fields we collapse all filters. However, new filter fields are expanded by default.

    Is there a way to collapse new filter fields by default as well?

    No, but we'll look into adding this in 2.7, subject to demand.

    Summary of this idea / implementation notes:

    When you click Expand All / Collapse All, it becomes the default state for new fields. So if you Collapse All, then expand a few fields selectively, then add a new field, that field will be collapsed by default.

    This idea has now been implemented and should be available to use from 2.7 b102 onwards.
