Is there a way to embed a Word Document in an iok file?

    Hi,

I am working on a client project to replicate their existing powerpoint presentations in Omniscope. One of the requirements is to be able to attach a MS Word document as it is done in one of the slides of the deck. Is there a way to replicate this in Omniscope?

    Cheers!

Indranil - a couple of options..first of all you can just Import the PowerPoint slides into Omniscope, but not sure that will preserve the Word attachment as it is currently done. What is the value of the Word document? The text etc. can be copied into Omniscope as text tab or even pasted in a desciption fileld as text that appears in Details Views. Another option is a link...if the Word document has an accessible address on the network, a link associable with any data element in Omniscope will just open the document using Word or whatever else the file recipient uses to read Word format documents. The key issue is whether it is the content that needs to be imported, or the file that needs to be linked to.
