Cell colours controls by conditions in the Table View
  • johnmark.griffiths July 7, 2010 2:11PM
I have a column in my table which shows a number of days. I the cell colour to change if the cell is a specific number along with other criteria looking at other columns. I would expect to do this using nested if statements. Can anyone tell me if this can be done in Omniscope.

I will also want to do this for font colour at a later date.

    Thanks John-Mark

You would need to create a formula field which contained your formula (using nested IFs, etc.). You would then colour your table by that field. The formula would result in keywords which you could configure with specific colours using Data > Manage Fields > "Formula field" > Options > Value colouring. You would probably hide this formula field from the table view, while still colouring by it.

You cannot assign a formula to an existing field purely to determine the cell colour; a formula must be created in a new field, and the cell value is displayed as the formula result.
