RAM usage limit

Hi
I've been working on omniscope version 2.8 b1185 and for some reason the program has now limited itself to 0.5GB of RAM. I'm the only user of our program and machine is there a way to force omniscope to use all the available RAM on the machine.
would updating to 2.9 fix this and force omniscope to recheck the available RAM?

Simon, this should not be happening. Try running Omniscope_debug.exe in the installation folder, and send us what you see, including the Omnisope_debug.bat file and Visokio_Omniscope_debug.txt from the user profile/home directory. Also send us your installconfig.properties file, and submit an error report from the app itself. Email this to support@visokio.com, referencing this page.

For other readers, this problem turned out to be an environment variable "_JAVA_OPTIONS" was set which overrides the Omniscope launcher behaviour. The debug launcher (omniscope_debug.exe) indicated this in the command window that appears when you run it.
The solution is to remove this environment variable from Windows, and to ensure no software is installed that will reintroduce it.
