Formula field: Omniscope Freezes with subset_uniquecount

I specifically can't seem to use subset_uniquecount in a formula field without it freezing up Omniscope.

All I am doing is trying to create a rate field of:

Subset_sum([Dementia Register])/Subset_uniquecount([Practice Code])

Version 2.9 b1823 on a Win 10 desktop and also tested on a win 10 laptop. Problem persists in both.

Hi, I've just tried this formula on a random file and it seems to work.
Could you please submit a bug report and attach your file - from the Help menu> report a problem

There wasn't a particular crash or anything as it will just load indefinitely

I took the file you sent and added a formula field with the formula above. It took about 30 seconds to calculate.

I recalculated that formula, same.

I'm not seeing anything unusual here. Note, "Unique count" can take longer depending on the number of records and number of unique values in the data.

(I was using 3.0 - I'm unaware of any reason 2.9 Plus should be any different).

I can see in the formula field it is doing the calculations as I can select through records and it generated the numbers I want.

I've tried a few times and let it run for 5+ mins and just stays like that.

OK, I just uninstalled the version of Java on my machine and it now works with the newest one. I was running Java 7.X so that seems to be the cause.

Glad you've solved it. Omniscope bundles its own Java so perhaps you had some customised installconfig?

Hmm not sure, when I tested it on my desktop it was a clean install of Omniscope and no changes to the installconfig fropm the default. I've only previously installed and used Java for webstart to view reports, otherwise any actual Omniscope creation was done on my laptop.
