Deployment: (S)FTP connectivity & posting to Box.com?

I'm having some challenges (various error messages) trying to post a file to an SFTP site. I can post to the same site via Filezilla. Also, on a similar subject, I'd like to be able to post a file to a Box.com folder, but have had similar challenges. Any special considerations I should be aware of?
I've seen other similar issues in the forum about (S)FTP connectivity, but not a solution outlined that I can find... -

Hugh: Just to clarify, when you say a file, we assume you mean an Omniscope IOK file? Did you use Filezilla to upload an IOK file?
Regarding Box.com, we support saving to Dropbox and GDrive, but you are the first asking for Box.com. Why not post Box.com support on the Forum as an Idea to see who else is interested?
