Connectors: Facebook Atlas transition from Microsoft platform
  •     tjbate April 1, 2015 7:38AM
As a consequence of Facebook's acquisition of Atlas from Microsoft, Facebook has now transitioned Atlas to run only on Facebook's computing platform. Unfortunately, Facebook has not yet completed all aspects of their new API, and the existing MS Atlas Connector in Omniscope will now not work. Facebook has asked us to inform users of Atlas data to contact your Facebook Atlas account manager and ask how to re-enable your access to Facebook data via Omniscope.

We understand this will be temporary until the Facebook version of the API is fully enabled. Please post here to let us know who you are and what you have been told by Facebook Atlas to do by way of workaround.

Since last year, the API seems to have been finalized by Facebook. Our attempts to use the connector have so far been unsuccessful though. See attached image.

Feedback from Facebook has also been inconclusive. We've been asked to provide the API call the connector uses, as they suspect that the API URL used by the connector is out of date.

Thomas, are you able to provide the API call?

    Thanks
    Alex

    Hi Alexander,

We last heard from Facebook a year ago, they told us they would provide us with information once the new API was finalised and documentation was available. We haven't heard anything since then, so it might be worth us contacting them again. Do you have a contact at Facebook we could email about this and setup a phone call? Please email me directly with this information.

    Thanks

    Chris Plastow
