Idea: Defining default weighting fields for each column?

Hi

I have a Bar/Line View where I measure averages.

Defining on which field to weight the average is working fine, but when we switch the value to another field, Omniscope loses the weighting of the initial field. Going back to the initial value measure, we have to set the weighting again.
This is not ideal as we want our users not to worry about this.

Would it be possible to define the weighting settings per field in the Field Settings (the Ctrl+F menu, not sure what the English menu name is)

So this would be an addition to the DM Field Organiser where in addition to naming the default aggregation/grouping function for each field, you would specify the default weighting field? There is a place to do it, but the field names could change often during file configuration, and changing field names could be a problem.

The workaround for now is to use View Headers and especially View Footers to message/prompt the end user...and/or the configurable Help screen, which can even contain screenshots...or just more overlapping tabs/views, some of which the user cannot change, others which they can.

Agree that it is an addition to the DM Field Organiser.
"There is a place to do it": what do you mean? Is it already possible or you think there will be a place to put this?

Changing field names is in many cases a problem. Do you see specific reasons why it is a problem here?

The workaround is not optimal. Users are often not familiar with averages and wieghting. Defining these settings up front is much better.
