Kevin - On any given tab in an IOK file, there is only one Selection subset at any given time, and the rows/records within that subset are determined by the last selection in any view on the tab.
Using the advanced tabs option, (and Move/Keep options) you can create a sequence of tabs where the IN subset on one tab is ' inherited' by the subsequent tabs, on which you can set further filters and make further selections, and so on for as many tabs as you like.
In general, it is better to tell your story across a number of tabs, each inheriting filter settings/defined subsets from the previous tab, rather than trying to cram too many views and Named Queries into too few tabs.
Thomas, your description makes perfect sense. But I can't located the settings. I tried the 'New>> Copy of current tab (advanced) but none of those generated the behavior I expected. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks.
Kevin - when you add a new tab with the advanced option, you are asked whether this new tab should maintain its own separate filter/query sets....if you say no, then the tab will inherit the same sets/subsets as the previous tab...
Out of interest, how would you change the communication to make that clearer?
