I'd like to ask if it's possible to export a Content View HTML programmed table (such as the ones in the attached example) to an Excel file using a quicker method than selecting the whole table on the screen and making cut & paste. The idea is to export both data and table formatting in an Excel readable, modifiable and printable format.
This is what our 'internal customers' are requiring now.
Alternatively, we can consider the idea to export only data in a pre-formatted Excel template file. Notice, however, that some tables (as the second included in the attached file) have a vertical development with a variable number of rows.
If such an export option exists, is it possible to have any example on how to implement it?
Because the Content View can contain any arbitrary, unstructured HTML content/data it is impossible to automate export of data transformed in this View to Excel.
You can however configure the DataManager to make all necessary calculations and transformations in the file data set, rather than within the Content View, and then export the result set to Excel.
If you have ServerPlus, your free Viewer users can select/filter/query and export to Excel themselves.
