File Security: Save option not appearing?
  •     dszl136154 October 15, 2012 12:00PM
Hi - I copied an IOK file from our server to my desktop. I have done few changes within the file and would like to save the file. I cannot find any option to save the file. In both cases I am using the same version of Omniscope.

Where can I find the SAVE option? I attach a pic to show you what options I have.

    Thanksimage

Darius - Check the ownership of the file from File > About this file.
It may be that the file is owner-locked to the Server-license key.

It says "Public, locked - modifications to this file cannot be saved, password protected".
How can I unlock the file? I know the password.

You will need to login to the server, enter the file password and open the file on the Server-licensed machine that 'owns' this IOK file in order to save any changes, or to create/save a 'clone' file with a different name and remove the owner-locking from the 'cloned' file so you can make changes and save on your Desktop-licensed machine.
