Collaboration: Concurrent file access?

If 2 individuals open the same IOK file (via a shared drive), what alerts either user to the sharing issues and what happens to the versions on saving changes?

Chloe - there is currently no warning when more than one person open the file (usually read-only access via free Viewers).
However, if one person with an activated Edition saves any changes to a file, others making changes to the exact same copy of the file will not be able to save their changes, and they will be warned that someone else has changed the file while they had the file open.
