See Data > Formulas > Export formulas.

It says:- "There are no formula fields to export"
    There should be loads?

Are your formulas applied (created as formula fields) in the in-memory Omniscope dataset (the blue block), or previously upstream in DataManager, inside Field Organiser blocks?

    in DataManager

If the formulae are defined in DataManager Field Organser blocks, you can export the active formulas by either:

    1. Loading the data flow result into the Omniscope in memeory dataset and then following the steps described by Steve above....or

    2. Selecting the DataManager Field Organiser blocks tools drop-down (spanner icon in the top right corner) and then selecting "Export formulas".

    Thanks for that.

So theere is no way to export every single formaula in one go?

Not at the moment, but this is something that would be relatively easy for us to add. I think the option would probably appear in the DataManager tools menu. Once selected it would allow you to export ALL formulas defined within your DataManager workflow. We could use a tree-picker to select which blocks/formulas you wanted to export. Does that seem to fit what you are looking for?

    That sounds perfact.

OK, we will look at implementing this in the next day or so. I'll post back once it has been done.

    Hi,

We have now added an "Export formulas" menu item to the DataManager tools menu. This will export ALL the formulas for ALL the blocks in the workflow. Alternatively you can select one or more blocks in the workflow and then click this menu item to export the formulas for the selected blocks only.

Please note that by default all blocks have "Preserve formulas in output" un-ticked. This means that the formulas will be converted to static fields in the block data. You can turn this on/off for individual blocks by clicking the "Preserve formulas in output" option in the block tools menu, or alternatively you can turn this on/off globally by selecting "Preserve formulas in output>On for all blocks/Off for all blocks" in the DataManager tools menu.

Please let us know if you have any problems using this functionality or have any further questions.

    Hi Dave,

Please download b274 (which we have just uploaded to our website).
