Problem migrating scheduler config file
  •     tamax April 17, 2012 7:54AM
    Hi,

I am trying to migrate our Visokio Enterprise from one server to a more powerful one (64bits).
I installed it ok on the new server and I activated license ok.
Scheduler seems to be running ok as well.
Then I stop it and copy the config.xml file from our old installation and run it again.
All the schedules are displayed ok, but when I try to test one I get a scary error and no iok is published (see attached log)
But when I publish the iok file manually, directly in visokio it works ok, so I guess this has to deal with the scheduler.

    What can the problem be?

    Thanks,
    Maxime.

    Hi Maxime,

What is your Omniscope version (previous and current)?
  •     tamax April 17, 2012 9:12AM
    previous: 2.7 build 311
    current: 2.7 build 305

(I updated the previous one just before migrating, that is why it is more recent)

The problem seems to be the config.xml migration.
    I made test:
    - create a new task from scratch with an empty config.xml file -> ok
    - copy the old config.xml file and then launch a task -> fail

Can you attach here or email me both files, the old one (which fails) and the new one (which is ok) config.xml files?

It actually fails when I test the task. You know the test limited to 5 minutes?
Find attached the config.xml that fails.
The new one (which is ok) is not actually created because during the test it works.

Log file looks OK, messages at the top are just warnings.

Log file says that Publishing process went well.
You have some other file actions just after publishing.
Can you check that all your file paths in your file scheduler actions comply with your new environment. You can also test by executing from scheduler only IOK file export task.

    Refreshed from "DataManager"
    > File action on "D:\IOKOriginals…" Refresh From Source................21529 ms
    Publishing all DataManager output blocks...
    Successfully published block "Brandchats_demo"
    Successfully published 1 block(s)

File action on "D:\IOKOriginals…" Publish Data Manager Output Bl......6610 ms
File action on "D:\IOKOriginals…" TOTAL..............................28139 ms
    ...done.
