Web view: Check your system's Internet Explorer settings

    When using web view on Windows, the system's Internet Explorer settings will be used by default.

    For example, if you have turned on the Compatibility view settings in Internet Explorer, the web view will use the same settings to display the web page. See here for more detail about Compatibility view settings.

    Having compatibility view turned on may result in web pages not display properly in web view.

    We have found that occasionally PCs are configured with the wrong settings, although no setting has ever been explicitly configured. This may be caused by 3rd party software or by different degrees of Windows updates.

    If you are finding the Web View or Content View in native browser mode are displaying using IE7 compatibility mode, resulting in errors in web apps, you should:

    - Start Internet Explorer from the Windows start menu
    - Press Alt, then open Tools > Compatibility View Settings.
    - Untick "Display intranet sites in Compatibility View"

    You may need to change other settings in this page too, to fully disable compatibility view for your specific circumstance.

    Additionally -

    We are looking at making Omniscope configure this automatically, but until we do, you may find that you also need to make the following registry setting:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION]
    "javaw.exe"=dword:00002328
