How do I force a colour to a field value?

I have created a XY chart showing brands, and colours are set automatically across brands (using the View tools option, set by field, "brand").
However, I have a particular chart I'm building with 6 brands, and 3 of them share almost identical colours/shades, which makes it difficult to distinguish them on the screen. Is there a way to "force" a specific colour to one of the brands?

Sure, by configuring the field's values.
Choose Data menu > Manage fields (version 2.5), or Edit > Manage fields (earlier versions).
Find the field with the colours you want to change - Brand, I imagine.
Click Options, and choose Value order, colours and shapes.
Use the Values dialog to configure the colours for each value in the field.
