Error with Email Output

I'm having trouble getting Omniscope 2.7 to send emails using the data block. I'm using the Gmail presets with the correct username and password but keep getting a messaging error after clicking publish.

Any help would be great! Thanks.

Hi,

it looks like it might be an issue where your firewall is not permitting you access to the gmail through Omniscope.
Can you use any of the feeds? Yahoo financial data or Web search?

Financial data works, web search had issues. Says unable to generate feed data No data to append.

Could you please clarify what of problem you encountered when using the Web Search?

We have tested the email output with both GMail and Yahoo accounts and it seems to be working OK. If you are still having problems it may be due to some settings in your GMail account or your firewall blocking connections.

One method we could use to diagnose this problem would be to setup a test GMail account and confirm that we can publish emails using the test account username/password. We can then provide you with these details and you can undertake the same test. If there are still problems it seems fairly likely that there is a firewall issue.
