Outlook Calender File

    Hi Team,

Is there an option to open a .ics file(Outlook Calender file) format on omniscope. This would be helpful for creating a dashbaord. It could lay out Past and Future Meeting on PIE VIEW.
You can figure out time spend on each project.
Analysis on where time has been spend.
    Helpful for performance reviews.
People who have access to others calender can also use this as an analytical tool.
    Just an idea.

Omar - We are considering adding a timeline/calendar type view to Omniscope, and a lot of source data is certainly contained in the .ics data format

Note that Omniscope 2.7+ supports reading entries from an Outlook PST file, which includes calendar entries. So you can import ICS files into Outlook then use this.

Simply choose "File > Open" and browse to your PST file. Your PST file location is typically shown when you right-click "Personal folders" and select "Properties" then "Advanced".

This idea concerns implementing direct support for ICS files, a fairly primitive text-based format. Here are some examples. Feel free to post links or attach further examples, which would help development:

    Hi,

We have now added the ability to read iCalendar files (.ICS) in Omniscope 2.8. Currently the Importer creates a separate data-row for each event, to-do, journal or other top-level element inside the file.

Please let us know if you have any problems using this, or ideas for improving the functionality.
