Layout: Floating scrollbars (2.7)

Minimalist, floating scrollbars were introduced to 2.7 last week.

They no longer take up any space on-screen and instead "float" where needed. This removes visual clutter from the display, since they only appear when you move your mouse over the relevant area.

You can go back to "classic scrollbars" via Settings > Advanced > Miscellaneous

    Nice.

Any chance of having some visual cue to show that there is a scrollbar available? (Maybe a chevron >> on end of scale) otherwise the chart just appears truncated with no obvious reason why until you hover over it.

Also the floating scrollbars don't respond to scrollwheel on mouse, need to be physically clicked and dragged.

Bernard, we'll have a think about your first point - thanks for the feedback.

Regarding the scroll wheel, this should be unaffected by the new scrollbars.

Any parts of the application which previously supported the scroll wheel should continue to do so. For example, if you create a new file, and reduce the window so both the table and device panel are truncated, you should then be able to scroll with the mouse wheel, provided your mouse is over the item being scrolled.

We've tested this on Mac and PC. If you can't get it to work, post an example file; it might be something specific to do with your file configuration.
