Pie View - displaying only percentages on pie but showing percentages and values when hovering

Currently (2.6 build566), for small pie views, if I click Tools and tick "Show Percentages" and "Show Values", the pie shows no numbers unless I hover over it, where it would show the percentage and value.

If I only click Tools and tick "Show Percentages", the percentages are shown in the pie, but when hovering over the pie, it would not show the values - only the percentage.

I think is useful to have an option allowing a combination of the above views; show the percentage on the pie and when the user hovers over it, show the percentage AND the value.

This is primarily a problem when we have small pie-charts.

Brushing in individual views.

It'd possible in a view with 'Subset: Selected Data', when you don't have a selection, it shows as 'Subset: All Data'?

It would be a good idea? I think so. I hope it will be a good idea for all.

Ability to configure deselected lines on line graphs

One of my users selects data in a bar graph (by brushing, I think the expression is) in order to bring some focus on to a line graph that plots a set of time series. Of course, the select values retain their colours and the deselected ones are greyed. I'd like to be able to configure the deselect colour of these lines (and would probably choose white, to make them invisible). As it stands, with more than a small number of lines drawn, the greyed out lines become confused with lighter-shaded selected lines. I know that the desired effect can be achieved by using the right-hand filter boxes, but the user I'm designing reports for finds brushing (if that's the correct term) preferable.

Hello, we got the following bar chart that shows three years of information, we noted that Omniscope is ordering the bars based on the sum of the three years, but we wanted to order just using the first year, is it possible?

Title selection within Magazines: If I type 'geo' I'd like to select an entry eg. "Geo" OR "Geolino" OR "GEOlino extra".
Unfortunately the entry "Geo" is not offered in the dorp-down any more, perhaps because the full name is typed. -> ?

By drop-down selction of "Geo" (typed: only "ge") the values of "Geo Special" and many other titles with "geo" are included as well. -> Not good, wrong circulation result, not really useful...

I know that search type 'exact' would work fine but there are many cases in which 'substring' type could help if the exact syntax is not known by the user. - Examples: "The Trucker" -> type 'truck', "Der Spiegel" or "Spiegel, Der" -> type 'spiegel'.

==> Is it possible to upgrade the filter? - Selection in drop-down should lead to the EXACT spelling of the offered entry.
And the drop-down should offer the typed substring as well, even if the entry's full name is typed in.

Header Image on all tabs?

Ideas: Hiding Colour Keys?

You have added colour keys as a new function. This currently adds colour keys to all existing files when I open them- where I have no need of them.

View Colour Key is switched ON as a default as part of Tabs. Could the default be OFF, so that I can choose where they should be added.

Viewer keys

We currently ask you for viewer licence keys when we roll out a deployment to a new customer. We have a mix of professional users and viewers in each project and just about all our customers don't want the viewers to see the functionality they are not going to get (or to be able to change data by mistake when they don't have the authority). Rather than us keep requesting viewer only keys that can be used to lock the deployment into a viewer mode how about having one key XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX that can be used by many PCs, doesn't expire and restricts the functionality to viewer only?

Just an idea...

Configurable tooltips on bargraph axes' labels.

Would like to be able to configure the text in the tooltip that appears when the mouse is hovered over a category label on the axis of a bar chart. (tried to post an example but got an error message - let me know if it would be useful and I'll mail it).

Some of the categories in our data are very broad and it would be nice to present the option to provide an explanation.

Naming periodic output files saved to batch folders

If I have daily output files being archived for longer-term analysis in future, how can I configure automated saves in an archive batch folder such that the file names include some indication of time period? This would stop each daily file from overwriting its predecessor, and also ensure that the Source field added by the batch append will be useful for filtering timespans.

Changing Colours in Subsets

It would be great if the dial could intractivaly pick up the lowist and higist vaules in a dataset.

So that you could allways see exacly where you where with in the data.

Best way to group datamanager blocks

I am working with a lot off sources which need quite a few operations and then I am appending them together into the Omniscope blue block. How to handle custom corporate calendars in Omniscope

Dear Omniscope Comrades,

I have a requirement of using a corporate calendar that is different from the usual calendar where weeks/months/years are customised. I need to find some way to accomodate this calendar in Omniscope so that all standard date related formatting/sorting/grouping still works.

Converting date fields into text wouldn't work and I tried the date arithmetic a bit, but so far no luck. It would be really good to know if someone has worked on simillar task and how did you address this.

Idea: DataManager - 'For each file' loop/batch process?

I have just processed a number of files in DM and have had an idea which would have saved some time and could be a very good idea for future development:

I needed to perform a number of tasks on each file, before appending them together so batch append wouldn't have been appropriate. What would have worked well is a batch container which would perform a given set of operations to every file passed. You can do this in SSIS (for each file loop container) - it saves time and keeps the process map a lot cleaner and easier to understand.

Operations in DataManager: Record Filter

Is it possible to add another category for 'Does not contain" within the record filter?
Currently you have "contains" which is great but I require the converse.

Dependant on the underlying source it is easy enough to do this in tsql and therefore not bring the data in at all but actually I want to do just the opposite. I want 'ALL' data brought into DM and thereafter want to use the record filters to channel off the various chunks.

Organize Yes/No fields box

I quite often have many Yes/No values that I'd like to expose for selection. Most of the time I'd like to organize them in some way other than that given; i.e. within a single filter box under one title (I usually rename "Yes/No fields" to something else). For example, some of my yes/no values relate to geographical regions and some to organizational units. It would be nice to have the ability to group these into separate Yes/No filters, each with an appropriate title. Even some sort of organization within the box - subheadings or dividing lines - would be helpful.

If not is there any suggestion to include it in a future release? When viewing larger files this would be very useful.

Dial View: zones/alerts/ranges driven by data

If I am not mistaken, the "zones", "alerts" and "ranges" have to be hard coded values.
A good enhancement would be to make them data-driven.

I want to introduce Visokio to one of my clients and they record their suppliers performance. Obsviously, one of the best way to show the supliers performance is to use a dial view (or a radar view for which I posted another enhancement request). But the issue is that the zones changes depending on the category or subcategory the supplier is evaluated for. Hence this enhancement request.

Keep/Move behaviour in Portal view

Fixed Size Range

I am working with a map view. Shows just four US states with values displayed as circles. Data is stored on a daily basis and a point slider enables one to view the values for any specific date. For any selected day the size of the circles adjust dynamically and so are not comparable from one day to the next. Can a fixed scale be set to show this.

Multiple columns in pivot table

I have a requirement where I will have to replicate an excel report into Omniscope. The excel report has a big pivot table with multiple fields both on the row and column side. The pivot table in Omniscope allows me to have only 1 category field in the X and Y axis, so I am not able to use the pivot view. However, I tried using a the group function, which brings me very close to the excel report format, but not exactly. Anybody has had similar experiences and solved it? It would be really good if you could share how you cracked this issue.

Allow change of vertical/horizontal orientation to labels in graphs

Just as the topic says... The reason for this is that on a graph that's inserted into a small space, only every other label is shown. I know it's easy to "fill in the blanks" - especially on a time-series - but having vertical labels and showing all of them would be preferable.
