Layout > Menu Commands

The Layout > ... menu groups commands governing the appearance of each tab, e.g. formatting, spacing, titles and annotations, images,etc. Make sure to go Tab > commit changes to make the defined layout persistent. All of these Layout modes can be customised using the Edit modes [1] wizard. You can also use pre-defined Styles, or configure custom Styles to match your organisation's presentation standards.

 

Display mode options: quickly change the layout of each tab for different purposes. These layout mode icons are also available at the far right of the Main Toolbar [2].
Working mode - this layout is used for configuring files and provides full visibility of all toolbars.
Presenting mode - this layout is used for delivering interactive slide presentations for others to view as they would a slide pack.
Reporting mode - this layout is used to deliver routine reports in printable format.
Dashboard mode - this layout is used to provide reporting 'dashboards', often live -refreshing on large screens for group visibility.
Edit modes [1] - use this dialog to make changes to the default layout modes and define your own.
View Spacing [3] - increases or decreases the space between the views displayed on the tab
Title [3] - adds a title to top of the tab
Title style [3] - options to change the appearance of the title on the tab
Annotation [3] - adds your explanatory text to the bottom of the tab
Annotation style [3] - options to change the appearance of the annotation text
Background image [3] - enables you to specify an image that can be faded and used as a backdrop in text slides and views that feature a blank background, like the Graph View (see below).
Header image [3] - enables you to specify an image that can be displayed in the title bar opposite the Title, like the Visokio logo in the example at left.
Centre image [3] - enables you to specify an image to be displayed at centre of a page, usually a large image like a photograph.
Import PowerPoint slide [3] - any existing PowerPoint slide can be added as a central image on a tab.

 

Clear layout - removes all the display elements outside of the views displayed on the current tab

Styles - combinations of settings that can be applied to a specific file, and also shared with other users. You can use standard pre-configured Styles, or create a custom organisational Style to apply to all Omniscope file created by a given organisation.  For more information, see Styles & Configure styles [4]and also the KnowledgeBase section on sharing custom styles [5].
