http://forums.visokio.com/discussion/3112/hiding-view-menus-removing-number-of-records-and-formula-from-measures-menu
Tue, 05 Apr 2016 12:00:55 -0400Phillipa3112@/discussionsI have just been preparing a dashboard for our clients and meticulously hiding fields from the measures menu. They are hidden in my file but when I open them in the viewer on another machine I have the "Number of records" and "formula" still showing in the measures dropdown. If the clients click on these, it creates nonsense in the charts. Is this a bug in the system? Thanks. Phillipa]]>Idea: Publishing-Open new file with 'Client X' styling applied?
http://forums.visokio.com/discussion/2848/idea-publishing-open-new-file-with-client-x-styling-applieds
Tue, 17 Feb 2015 12:42:01 -0500CRead2848@/discussions I am aware of %AppData%\Local\Visokio\Omniscope\UserThemes\for saved tab themes. I am also aware of being able to distribute ILF files to add to %AppData%\Local\Visokio\Omniscope\LayoutModes.xml
If you open a new Omniscope window, currently there are two 'new file' opening options - DataManager workspace and DataExplorer workspace, but it would be nice to have the option to open a new (Client 1) file. Perhaps in the space available next to Demos?
I would like a default Client 1file to open with: - a default cover - a style guide tab listing colours, fonts etc. - a tab with some sample views showing the general design approach for that client - a checklist tab specific to the client e.g. check at 1024*768 resolution - CategoryDataColourPresets and ContinuousDataColourPresets presets reflecting the style guide - adding a new tab would have other style compliant options for that client (not just blank/text only/ datamanager) - the file would include some of the default images already loaded in (e.g. logos)
The benefit of this would be that the files which we deliver would be more consistent, and it would be much less effort per file to ensure that basic things like title sizes are acceptable to clients who have to work with smaller screens.
Ideally, the default Client 1 file would be hosted on our network share / intranet so that the master file could be kept up to date, and not installed per machine. Having a pointer in installconfig.properties might be a good way to manage the mapping.]]>Styling & Branding tips: Setting up styles and presets 2.9+

Thu, 16 Oct 2014 09:24:18 -0400daniel2745@/discussions Attached are two examples of .ILF styling files which are files you simply click and run in Omniscope to add these styling sets to your own installation and menus. These will automatically prompt you to save them into your style list where you can apply them onto any tab.
I have also included a XML file for presets, you have to import this file into your preset menu (see images 1 & 2) and make sure to apply to application wide setting so that it is saved to your Omniscope installation. Once installed the new presets will appear within the menu (image 3).
As an FYI and plug, I am a freelance Omniscope consultant who would like to offer my services. So please contact me if you have any opportunities, seek training or short term/part-time work that needs doing.

http://forums.visokio.com/discussion/2658/styling-customising-sidebar-devicess
Thu, 24 Jul 2014 10:12:23 -0400alexandervolk2658@/discussions We're trying to adapt as much of our company's CI into our Omniscope dashboards. It's working great so far except for devices. If there's an option to change font face, size and color for filter devices in the right sidebar or otherwise style them, I seem to have missed it.
Can anyone let me know if that is even possible?
Thanks!]]>Styling: Icons in toolbars and check boxes in sidebar?

http://forums.visokio.com/discussion/2245/styling-distributable-brandingstylebookmarks-2.9-
Tue, 16 Jul 2013 18:14:37 -0400mustafa2245@/discussions In addition to their current use cases, ILF files can now be used to distribute branding packs, organisational style presets and data source bookmarks.
You can now export settings fro a reference installation as ILF files you can distribute to others as e-mail attachments, via shared/synchronised folders, etc. When an installed Omniscope user double-clicks the ILF file, Omniscope will automatically install its contents in that installation, where it will affect all files managed on that installation.
Note: the ILF extension automatically associated with Omniscope when at install time.
Current use cases of ILF export/import files
Shortcut to the original file - for example instructing Omniscope to open a file from a URL written inside the ILF file. This approach is typically used with the domain locking file security settings.
Distribute your saved bookmarks in DataManager with others in form of an ILF file. On double-clicking the ILF the bookmarks will be installed on the user's machine.
How to create: Settings > (Application-wide) Advanced > Tools > Create distributable bookmarks…
