Salesforce Output has 3 options, Append/Replace/Update. Append is the desired option here, to create new records. Funny thing is Append seems to deliberately drop the 'name' field when passing the bulk insert job. It will be included in an Update call. The result is the newly created records will have the SF default name (which is the ID of the record). Updating those records with the same Omniscope output will pass the name value without issue. And ouputting Omniscope to a file and dataloading that file through another system passes the name, so it's nothing with the format or validation.

Looking at what's being passed it's clear that the name is simply not included, which is why I say deliberately. Creating Standard SF object record (account,opportunity) DOES pass the name value in an Append style output.

Attachment showing that for creating of new record in Append (insert) call, the Name field is dropped. But in an Update call it is passed.

We are having issues creating PDF reports where we use a content view that contains javascript and html (with css) using the native browser in omniscope.

There are 3 scenarios that cause the issue
1. Part or all of the view is not on the screen when it is opened to take the screenshot
2. When the publish is carried out on a scheduler machine
3. There is another window open on top (I know that there shouldn't really be any screens open, but it is hard not to when the reports cant be run on a scheduler as per point 2)

The issue doesn't happen on views where the native browser is not selected.

Attached is a screenshot of what happens. The part of the view that is off screen shows blacked out, and the part that has another screen open shows that screen.

I am using 2.9-[Hotfix_BatchPublishMethod] b1642 (28-Apr-2015 15:44:00) Build revision:8b20a5fae04b , but there are others in the office using different versions and having the same issue.

Is this a known issue and is there a fix on the way?

Everytime I change something in the Data Manager workspace of a report it seems that the .pdf output resets itself such that it doesn't recognise which of the Report IOK tabs to screenshot. For instance, one of the reports I was running this morning failed because:

" ERRORS:
No source available to refresh from
Chain action "Update and Email" failure:
Skipping block "TPD Core and Sub-Base balances" -Not configured "

After I manually reset the .pdf output settings to specify the correct tabs and ran the report again, everything worked correctly.

Could you please let me know if there is something that I am doing wrong when changing the Data Manager settings, or if this is indeed a bug.

We are using a batch output block that generates a lot of PDF files. This workflow is running in the Scheduler on one of our servers.

Depending on the last person who worked with Omniscope on that server, the resolution of the output PDF file is different? I need to create for a client a report that includes followable URL adresses (I mean, that if the text says "http://foo.com/bar.html" the text is clickable as a link) or at least selectable text when arranged the data in a table view. Is that possible?

Is there a way to automate the export of screenshots in Omniscope? Basically, I have a file where I have pie charts. I want export about 100 different pie charts in png or jpg format to use in presentations. Ideally, I would like to say export the pie chart for all records that match this filter. The pie chart will be different for each individual record, as the underlying data is different, but I won't have to manually export the chart for each record.

Since updating to the latest version, I’m experiencing a sporadic problem publishing reports. This issue has never occurred before the latest update.

When I publish certain reports, I’m getting an error indicating that the file is in use by another program (see below).

This is only happening for some reports and some of the time. The file in question is only accessible to Omniscope, so there is no chance another program, like Excel, is actually using it.

Publishing outputs has failed whether automated on a Scheduler or updated manually, and whether there are one or multiple viewers. However, it also sometimes works under all of those conditions, so I’ve so far been unable to identify a pattern other than that this has only occurred since the update.

This is impacting some real-time reports in production. Please confirm receipt and advise as soon as possible.

Is there any way to include page breaks in the table so that when I output the tab to PDF/PowerPoint the sections between each page break are printed? i.e. the table is output to PDF/PowerPoint as however many PDF/PowerPoint slides.. each slide being a different page break section in the table?

In Omniscope, on the tabs the graphs are correct. Also, if from Omniscope Command menu I go File > Export to PDF, the exported PDF is the same as the Omniscope tabs (which is correct).

However, if I go to DataManager and add an Output to PDF block to the data flow after the blue "Omniscope" block, the PDF result is incorrect and it appears like the results are being summed rather than using the "Formulae" result.

Version 2.8 build 978 ....Please could you advise

In the Omniscope file menu you can open (and subsequently save) a DropBox/GoogleDrive file directly by selecting "File > Open online file".

In DataManager, DropBox and GoogleDrive is supported in both the "Data file" source block and the "Data file" publisher block. It allows me to choose which fields/columns to be exported but not to select the subset of rows that come from each differnent source. Because the file contains multiple data sources, there are many unrelated and empty fields exported with the filtered-in subset which are hard for user to process in Excel.

I then have a Bar/Line View in which I display this field. I aggregate by another field. In the aggregation I select to recalc the value of my new field using the formula - i.e. calculate the ratio of used amount/total amount for the aggregated values, and then display this in the view.

All works fine until I re-publish the Omniscope file below the blue box using a file Output block set to publish an IOK file. In the new, re-published IOK file, the display doesn't work?
