I followed what is indicated in the thread http://forums.visokio.com/discussion/comment/10597/#Comment_10597 but I've been able only to extract the details of the elementary records that are the base for the pivot composition.

Is it possible to extract the data as shown in the pivot table?

Since the pivot table is very big I would like to avoid to use the method of selecting cells on the pivot and use the cut and paste option.

Batch Output for Excel - Specify Starting Row/Column http://forums.visokio.com/discussion/3087/batch-output-for-excel-specify-starting-rowcolumn Wed, 03 Feb 2016 11:11:49 -0500 OliverB 3087@/discussions Last year we had a request to add some functionality to the batch config file so that when publishing to excel, we could use the Replace Data/Replace Worksheet/Overwrite data etc functionality that the individual data manager output blocks have . This was implemented and works very well.

http://forums.visokio.com/discussion/2862/batch-publishing-output-excel-using-template-filess

One other functionality that the data manager file output block has that doesn't appear to be available in the batch config files is to be able to specify a row or column to start inserting the data at. Would it be possible to add this functionality to the batch config file as well?
Thanks

Batch Publishing: Output Excel using template files? http://forums.visokio.com/discussion/2862/batch-publishing-output-excel-using-template-filess Mon, 09 Mar 2015 13:00:19 -0400 OliverB 2862@/discussions
I am trying to create a set of Excel reports, each containing multiple sheets. The reports need to be formatted in a certain way (i.e. date formats, header rows shading etc)

I can do this using the data file output in DataManager, just by writing to a blank Excel file that already exists and has formatting applied. However, I have about 100 Excel reports, each with 6 worksheets, so this method will be very time consuming to set up and maintain.

I have tried to set this up using a batch output. I am able to actually create the raw data files, but these do not have the formatting that I need. I have created a template Excel file (I've tried .xls and .xlsx) which has all of the formatting applied. However, when I point the batch config to this template file and set the "Preserve template formatting and formulas" to 'true', this does not have any effect?

I have also tried to create a file with the same name as the output, the same way as I would do this using DataManager, but this doesn't work either, the existing worksheets are just totally overwritten.

Is there a way for me to accomplish this without having to create this all manually in DataManager?]]>

When I publish to an Excel workbook using a DataManager block using the Omniscope route rather than the Excel Direct option, the resulting Excel file is smaller (which is good)

However, if I keep on publishing to the same file using Omniscope route the file size increases, when the data set has not changed.

Why is this ?

Thanks

Export: Cut and Paste from Table View to Excel http://forums.visokio.com/discussion/2772/export-cut-and-paste-from-table-view-to-excel Thu, 27 Nov 2014 09:32:47 -0500 enrico68 2772@/discussions
The result obtained is in picture 2: as you can see, when copied to Excel, the detail rows mantain the correct numeric and percentage format while Total rows are not interpreted correctly: they are text and no more numeric values.

Our users need to use cut-and-paste because they would like to export also the total rows and these rows are not exported in Excel when the export function in admin menu is used.

Is there a solution to this problem? Why are the total rows are handled in a different way then detail rows? ]]>

Idea: Un-couple view toolbar display from export data in browser versions? http://forums.visokio.com/discussion/2776/idea-un-couple-view-toolbar-display-from-export-data-in-browser-versionss Tue, 02 Dec 2014 06:37:13 -0500 aeastwood 2776@/discussions
I could be wrong, but it seems that when a file is opened in HTML5 web version, the export data option (represented as a cloud icon in the top right) for each data view is only available when the view toolbar is set to show (rather than e.g. pop out) for that view.

If I'm wrong, please let me know what I should be doing differently. Otherwise, I think it'd be useful if these two functions were uncoupled - for example it could be problematic if I wanted a file to be viewable by end users both in HTML5 web version and in the Omniscope Desktop IOK free Viewer version, since either the web version user would be unable to export data or the Desktop IOK free Viewer user would see a more cluttered presentation. It's only a small thing but would make life a little easier.

Thanks,
Alex]]>

This option can be enabled from Desktop Edition or from the Server interface.

Desktop steps:
Settings>Web sharing>Edit client settings>Server settings Edit>Export view data

Server steps:
From the Omniscope Web Server Services screen>Config>Permissions>Default Folder Config> Anonymous permissions>Export view data

This option will enable all recipients to export data from their browser. If you wish to customise this further and enable it only for certain groups of users, please create Groups settings (as per image).

This is what our 'internal customers' are requiring now.

Alternatively, we can consider the idea to export only data in a pre-formatted Excel template file. Notice, however, that some tables (as the second included in the attached file) have a vertical development with a variable number of rows.

If such an export option exists, is it possible to have any example on how to implement it?

Is this possible? Please advise with some instructions.

Export: File security and export to Excel options http://forums.visokio.com/discussion/1322/export-file-security-and-export-to-excel-options Mon, 20 Feb 2012 04:00:56 -0500 Mees 1322@/discussions Export to Excel is possible in case a user has a paid license on Omniscope.
When opening an iok file via Java webstart, the Viewer that opens doesn't provide the export option.
This is normal behaviour, but it would be very useful to enable us to give users with a paid license the export functionality in the web start viewer.

We often get this question and cannot deliver as we use webstart.

Just sending the iok file directly would solve the problem, but then we loose control over our file. In addition we monitor the usage of webstart and we loose this as well when sending the file directly.

Is there anything you can do to help?
