Input data is stored in a csv file, it has a daily changing number of columns (say 20-25), 10 of which have fixed names while the rest are named with dates. I want to de-pivot only the date-named columns.

The problem is that the number and names of the date columns change daily. Hence a simple de-pivot operation doesn't work once the data has been changed. Ideally I want a de-pivot option where it de-pivots all the columns apart from the selected ones.

Is it possible to achieve such de-pivoting in Omniscope some way? And if not would an option 'de-pivot everything apart from selected columns' be possible to include into de-pivot operation?

P.S. I tried every combination of operations I thought might lead me somewhere, and almost got the result, but in Summarise operation selecting "All fields" doesn't keep all the fields selected after the field names changed, the way that most other operations work. Is that intended?]]>

Pivot View: Pivoting by more than two categories? http://forums.visokio.com/discussion/2585/pivot-view-pivoting-by-more-than-two-categoriess Mon, 09 Jun 2014 12:14:43 -0400 benjamin 2585@/discussions
I am pivoting by two (2) fields horizontally e.g. [Field 1] , which contains A1, A2 and [Field 2] which contains B1,B2

[Field 1] [Field2]

  A1
            B1
            B2
  A2
            B1
            B2

My problem is that if in the data there is no row which has A2 in [Field 1] and B2 in [Field 2], in the Pivot View it will leave the associated rows empty with no row header or anything.
See example... most probably more clear.
For the Collateralised, Senior Unsecured and Supranational bonds they have only Tier *, however below Tier * there are gaps where Omniscope thinks other examples of tiers should go.]]>

I want to filter a list contains a word " CLO " i.e with blank SPACE in front and back but Visokio won't let me do it, it uses "CLO" without spaces as the only input. Is there any wildcard character to do this??

I have been searching this using below Excel forumla:

=IF(OR(ISNUMBER(SEARCH({" word1 "," word2 "," word3 "}," "&A1&" "))),"YES","NO")]]>

Looks like when I merge two numbers in 2.7-rc b369 it turns the output to null. Any one else seeing this?

Formulae: Ignoring Blank Cells When Calculating Averages http://forums.visokio.com/discussion/670/formulae-ignoring-blank-cells-when-calculating-averages Mon, 07 Mar 2011 04:08:33 -0500 Paul 670@/discussions
Could someone help me please with the best way to configure Omniscope to calculate an average which ignores or excludes the blank cells, such that it calculates the average of the 4 fields in the above example as 10, as Excel would do as standard using the AVERAGE function?

The above example is the first row in a dataset - subsequent rows have decimal values in all 4 fields and so the AVG function calculates the average 'correctly'

Thanks, Paul
