I'm the only user of our program and machine is there a way to force omniscope to use all the available RAM on the machine.

would updating to 2.9 fix this and force omniscope to recheck the available RAM?

thanks

Is there any way to limit the RAM usage of an Omniscope report? For example, I want to set that every Omniscope report will use max 7 GB RAM. The number of opened files doesn't matter.]]>
Performance: 64 GB RAM Server does not release memory to OS? http://forums.visokio.com/discussion/2767/performance-64-gb-ram-server-does-not-release-memory-to-oss Tue, 25 Nov 2014 05:17:06 -0500 Alexander 2767@/discussions
We have a server with 64GB RAM running Omniscope server 2.9.
During one of the tasks, memory peaks at 98%. After this task we run a diagnostics task, but memory is not released.

The performance of the Server and other Omniscope instances is slow, as the RAM keep showing up to 90%.

Any advice, what we could do? Thanks]]>

Is there something that has changed in 2.8 which is now triggering this error in a lot of my report end-users? My reports have not increased in size.

Scheduler: Running from Linux Command-line? http://forums.visokio.com/discussion/2235/scheduler-running-from-linux-command-lines Tue, 09 Jul 2013 07:19:11 -0400 tamax 2235@/discussions
I would like to know if it is possible to install Visokio Scheduler on a Linux Server (without graphical interface) in order to have more CPU power for iok publishing.

Let me explain our situation:

- We have Omniscope Server Plus installed on a Windows server, with only 7.5GB of RAM.
- For some (very) big iok files the publishing task fails because of RAM limitation
- My idea is to use a bigger Linux server that would be in charge of iok publishing, but ideally the Scheduler would remain on the windows server, for ease of use.

Is it possible to do something like this? I am asking because Linux servers are much cheaper than windows, but I don't want to migrate the whole installation on Linux, just to use its CPU power.

Thanks, Maxime]]>
