3.0: New DoubleClick connector http://forums.visokio.com/discussion/3237/3.0-new-doubleclick-connector Fri, 28 Apr 2017 09:47:02 -0400 chris 3237@/discussions
We have now added a DoubleClick connector to Omniscope 3.

This connector contains all the functionality of the DoubleClick connector in Omniscope 2.9, with some improvements to performance and the authentication process.

If you would like to test this connector and/or you have some additional requirements for the new connector (for example adding support for additional report types). Please let us know.

At the moment this will be a straight port of the DFA DoubleClick connector in DataManager1. Please let us know if you would like us to add any additional features/reports in the new connector. Also, let us know if you would like a demonstration of the new connector once it is complete.

The email that was sent:

Hello,

You’re receiving this email because our records show that your DoubleClick Campaign Manager user profile has accessed version 2.1 or earlier of the DCM/DFA Reporting and Trafficking API within the last 30 days. If you do not manage this API for your DCM advertiser, please forward this email to the appropriate users for your organization.

As we announced in November with the release of v2.3 of the DCM/DFA Reporting and Trafficking API, we will be sunsetting versions 2.1 and earlier of the API on February 29, 2016. You can read our announcement
here:
http://googleadsdeveloper.blogspot.com/2015/11/announcing-v23-of-dcmdfa-reporting-and.html.
Please note that all API requests to versions 2.1 and earlier will no longer work after this date, preventing you from updating and accessing information in DCM.

To avoid an interruption in service, all DoubleClick users are required to upgrade their application to use version 2.2 or later of the API by February 29, 2016. If you haven’t yet started upgrading, we strongly encourage you to do so.

You can get started by using our updated client libraries, available at https://developers.google.com/doubleclick-advertisers/reporting/libraries,
to get up and running quickly. You can also learn more information about the new, regular deprecation schedule for older versions of the API here:
https://developers.google.com/doubleclick-advertisers/reporting/deprecation.

If you have questions, please post on the developer forum at https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/google-doubleclick-for-advertisers-api,
or contact DCM API support at dcmapi-support@google.com.

Sincerely,

The DoubleClick Campaign Manager API Team

We have now added a ReportBuilder option to the Omniscope DoubleClick connector in the latest version of Omniscope 2.9 (264). The DoubleClick connector now allows you to choose whether you want to run a report from either Report Central (old) or Report Builder (new). In the Report Builder options we have tried to replicate the web interface. We have currently implemented 3 reports (Standard, Floodlight and Path to conversion). We have also added the ability to download a pre-existing server report, so you can configure a report in the web interface and download it into Omniscope.

The screenshots below show a Standard report and a server report:

We would be interested in any feedback you have. Please let us know if you have any problems using the connector or if there is any additional functionality (for example additional reports) you would like to see.

API deprecation alert! Older versions of the ReportCentralAPI will b deprecated on February 9th. All older versions of the API will no longer be supported. You must upgrade to version 13.4.8 or higher.

We just want to double check that this will not affect the current DART block in the latest Omniscope version as we are heavily relying on the DART connection to pull in campaign data.

Connectors: DoubleClick sun-setting Java API? http://forums.visokio.com/discussion/1821/connectors-doubleclick-sun-setting-java-apis Tue, 09 Oct 2012 09:40:39 -0400 maxgbernstein 1821@/discussions -----------------------------
Dear DFA Customer,

We understand that you are a frequent user of the DART Java API and are currently using a version that will soon be deprecated. The Java DART API, long the bread and butter of integrating with our ReportCentral service, has a large range of versions currently in use. We are going to begin enforcing a minimum version requirement on this API on November 3rd, 2012. At this time, clients must be using one of the newest versions of the Java DART API -- version 13.4, version 13.6, or version 13.8.

We recommend you take this opportunity to consider the new DFA Reporting API. The DFA Reporting API is a language-neutral REST API that offers programmatic access to the same reports as can be generated through the DFA Reporting user interface. Along with improved speed and performance, the new API will allow you to create, edit, and schedule Standard reports. We will continue to launch additional features to the new DFA Reporting API over the next few months.

Please update your DART Java API version as soon as possible to ensure uninterrupted access. If you have any questions, please email dfa-support@google.com

Sincerely,
DoubleClick Advertiser Technical Solutions

Connectors: DoubleClick/DFA - Delay in data update? http://forums.visokio.com/discussion/1434/connectors-doubleclickdfa-delay-in-data-updates Thu, 29 Mar 2012 02:52:49 -0400 checkyourfuel 1434@/discussions
From the client: "There has been instances where we have updated DFA data and it is visible when I pull a report from the DFA website but not in the Omniscope API. I know there is a delay from when you update the data within DFA, till you are able to extract it into your reports. However, there appears to be another lag till the API picks it up."

DoubleClick has confirmed the "time zone Sydney, Australia" is set in his DFA account.

Any ideas? Could the data update time spread be due to another time zone setting requirement - perhaps in the API connector? Other?

Many thanks,
James

I thought of having one DoubleClick block with all the data downloaded once and an incremental block which downloads the month's data, appends the blocks and removes duplicates, but this can cause incorrect data to show so is not a solution.

I need to download the update every 3-10 days and the wait for it to download all the data is painful.
Download speed directly from DART goes at around 80kb/s, so this is likely to be why it takes so long, but I am looking for a solution which will make the download size less by limiting the number of dates I need to download and also retaining the old information in Omniscope.]]>
