My query was whether or not you are able to copy a tab from one IOK file to another? Some of my files are a subsection of other files and having developed some tabs in one i wanted to copy to them to another without having to start from scratch

I am preparing iom files for publication. I am using the report format with content views to provide narrative to the displayed graphics. I want to restrict users from being able to access the menu options via the spanner at the top right of the main view window.

I have some values which I have created from a formula. I have then changed the column to show as a category -and I am able to see results using this category - however each time I reopen the category has converted back to a text based field

I've got 2 columns of numeric data and need to add a calculated field that creates a ratio of one against the other. This is simple enough, but I can't seem to be able to correctly use the field in charts / tables. The issue I have is which function should be used to display the data accurately (i.e. one that recalculates the ratio on the totals rather than the individual rows of data)? Using 'mean' is inaccurate as it simply averages the ratios and doesn't take into account the original values. I'm probably missing something obvious..........would appreciate a nudge in the right direction.

Just upgraded a licensed user from v. 2.5 b228 to 2.5 b305
When refreshing the license it says he has 34 days left.
Would this be due to a problem with the license not refreshing in the new version, or is there nothing to worry about.

In 2.5 this works perfect, but in 2.6 we cannot get the data in Omniscope.
I have attached a small sample file. Can you let us know how we should configure the upload settings?
Decimal character is komma and fields are split by semicolon.
In 2.5 there is only 1 option of for Dutch, but in 2.6 there are 3; Dutch, Dutch (Belgium) and Dutch (Netherlands).


By the way, the Data Manager is absolutely brilliant! GOOD JOB VISOKIO!!!!

I was wondering whether you have any XSL templates at all for converting XML data into the required format for loading into Visokio. This looks a fairly simple process of adding the namespace etc. but we don't have any specific XSLT knowledge to be able to undertake this.

In Data Manager, we have a File block and a Batch Append block. In the File block we can select to use Excel or not to read .XLS(X) files... but this option isn't present in the Batch Append block... which reader does Batch Append use? I ask because we have noticed that allowing the non-Excel reader to access the same file in concurrent operations (e.g. multiple File blocks reading from the same Excel file) can cause problems (looks like some kind of file locking?) - so we need to know whether we can read batches of Excel files reliably?

Incidentally, when opening a number of models I find that some File blocks are automatically opened and refreshed whereas others require me to go and press the Execute button within them (not change anything, just Execute). These non-loading bloacks all say "configuration incomplete", but pressing "Execute" is the only 'configuration change' that I make. Is this expected behaviour?

I create a query from filters. The file is refreshed and includes additonal rows. Does the query hold the original selection of records or is it updated to accomodate new records which confirm to the original filter criteria.
