I have data in Omniscope with calculated fields based on other fields, like:

Fields: Price, Units, Cost = Price * Units
Fields: Price Estimated, Units Estimated,Cost Estimated = Price Estimated * Units Estimated.

I want user can change/edit cells in columns 'Price Estimated' and 'Units Estimated' in order to evaluate 'Cost Estimated'.

In Omniscope 2.6 with DM license, I can edit cells, and mark as read-only column Price and Units.
But users, in viewer mode, can't edit cells values,

How can I mark columns as 'Edit Columns' in viewer mode?

I have a field (security ID) with more than 200 different categories.
I would like to group this field, using the related command in the Table view of the Data explorer, but it's not possible: the security ID field is not in the list of the "groupable" fields. Why?
It happens because the number of categories is to high, doesn't it?
Is there another way to group this field?

Could somenone please help me?

I have a table which i would like to group by a field and then order the "groups" by the number of records with each group.

Currently i am unable to do this ,and so have to use the poor substitue of "aggregate" and then sort by.

Is it possible to amend omniscope to include this option.

i just had a question before spending time building a report

we have a data source we are getting daily in xls format - approx 7,000 rows x 5 fields

we are looking to use batch processing to create on table for a years (i.e. 365 files) data initially (and then continue to update going forward with future files)

would there be any issues using batch processing with this large amount of source files? is there a better way other than batch processing for Visokio to cope with this many data source files

Within the Data Manager section, when selecting the data format it would seem that the decimal format options appear when selecting integer. Ie when selected Integer, I can chose how many decimal places, but for decimal, I cannot (?!)

Colleague has version 450 so I went to dwonload the latest version for okavango from visokio.com/okavango, however the available version is version 412.

Is the format issue a known bug? Has it been resolved in a future release I can download? Is 412 the latest reliable version of Okavango?

I'm trying to use the 'custom feed source' in data manager to connect to an authenticated sydication feed. I'm getting the following error:

ym: java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 401 for URL: h?t?t?p?s?:?/?/***************

(this is for a URL that works fine in a browser)

Presumably this means the connector doesn't support authentication? If not, are there any plans to change this?

Is it possible to change a column name in a table for a specific tab without changing the column name for the entire file.

The Americas division has a huge server for Enterprise, and by their own admission is it is very over sized. What I am looking for is some basic, general system requirements to recommend to Europe for Omniscope Enterprise Server. My "feel" is that this can run on a desktop all the way through a server class system, but I want to make sure I have given a reasonable recommendation. I see the Scaling and Performance section on 64bit, but it isn't specific enough.

What I need is just a reasonable starting point, so lets assume less than 100 reports will be generated (not with a huge amount of data, with less than 100K rows).
