Credit Suisse has recently changed over to Microsoft LYNC for internal office communation. This includes instant messaging and screen sharing. The program is currently setup to do "Program Screen Sharing" which means the Visokio application would be shared. I have noticed that Visokio does not like to be shared this way. I escalated this internally to the LYNC application owners and they told me to reach out to the Vendor 1st to see if there is a hotfix you could release.

The problem is that when you do a Program (Visokio) share it will not recgnize that Visokio is a whole program. It will try to split out the individual box charts within the application. Please reference Capture.JPG attached below. As you can see it shares out the horizontal and vertical axis. When in essence it should be sharing the entire Visokio file.

image

If you open up pop out boxes as seen in Capture 1.jpg attached below it will properly grab the pop out boxes. But you can see in the background that the origional window is still not appropriately captured.

image

Have you seen this screen behavior before with Visokio and what suggestions have you had for clients using "program Screen Share". If you share your entire screen Visokio of course works fine, however this is now against company policy.]]>

I have 10000 records, there are 100 differents brands, and i want to show in a same tab, one view with top 10 brands by sales, and other view with top 10 brands by units sold (it maybe differents than by sales)

I would like to be able to do a heat map, where each of the squares is a different colour depending on the volume inside the square. So for example, in the image below, where there is a high volume (say above 1000) then the square is red, between 750 and 1000, then it is blue etc etc. The "volume" figure in the picture below is the "sum of sum of" column.

As you can see in the picture, visokio has given me a key with 3 different colours, but these don't seem to appear anywhere on the map and are just the min, average and max values (I think)

Thanks for any help

Andy

Is this possible? If so, could you tell me how to do it?

I am trying to create a formula in a Content View with the below formula:
SUBSET_SUM([Position], INTERSECTION(SUBSET([Keyword rank],1), SUBSET([Week Rank],1)))

This returns the value as expected, except for any instances where none of the instances occur it shows "(no value)" in my table.

Is there a way to set the default (no value) to a blank space? I am sure that it is a simple formula but I can't seem to get it to work.

Decimal place question http://forums.visokio.com/discussion/1591/decimal-place-question Mon, 11 Jun 2012 09:31:52 -0400 alec_webliquid 1591@/discussions
Question for the Omniscope team: when setting the number of decimal places for a field, is the field value stored with that number? Or is it stored with the full number of decimals (however many that may be), but displayed with the amount set (similar to Excel)? I ask because I have noticed some small discrepancies between values calculated live in a table view (formula result on aggregated data) and values I have calculated elsewhere from the raw data, in a single function call.

Many thanks!

EDIT: it is of course entirely possible my formulas are not quite correct, but the question still stands]]>

Help required with aggregation in table view http://forums.visokio.com/discussion/1581/help-required-with-aggregation-in-table-view Thu, 07 Jun 2012 09:12:26 -0400 indranildatta 1581@/discussions
The challenge is centrally around calculating the “Total” row in a Table view. Not always the metrics are “totalled” using the functions built into Omniscope, so we use “formula result”. For that to work properly, especially with ratios, we need to choose the grouping option “calculate formula result over group result values”. Whenever the users switch to this, all the fields on which the calculations are based have to be made visible in a table view. That is not desirable from a dashboard design POV.

Anybody else faced/solved this? It would be really helpful someone could share the best way to handle this.

Cheers!

Http connection issue in 2.7 version http://forums.visokio.com/discussion/1578/http-connection-issue-in-2.7-version Tue, 05 Jun 2012 04:43:32 -0400 tamax 1578@/discussions
There is an issue while connecting via http that happened in version 2.7 (we didn't have that problem in 2.6).

Let me report the whole explanation of the IT staff (translated from spanish)

The problem comes from the way visokio 2.7 builds http request:

GET http://lacaixa1:**********@data.brandchats.com/lacaixa.iok HTTP/1.1
User-Agent: Visokio/Omniscope/2.7
Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate
Cache-Control: no-cache
Pragma: no-cache
Host: lacaixa1:**********@data.brandchats.com
Accept: text/html, image/gif, image/jpeg, *; q=.2, */*; q=.2
Proxy-Connection: keep-alive

That request is handled by our security system and responsed by:
HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request (Malformed HTTP request)
Pragma: no-cache
Content-Type: text/html
Cache-Control: no-cache, proxy-revalidate
Content-Length: 241
Proxy-Connection: Keep-Alive
Connection: Keep-Alive
Date: Mon, 04 Jun 2012 13:08:15 GMT

Vital Security Proxy Error

Error Occurred

  • HTTP Error Status: 400 Bad Request
  • Error Reason: Malformed HTTP request

Please contact your system administrator

This is because of the way Visokio sends the credentials to the host.

In version 2.6 of the client this problem was bypassed unmarking the option "requires authentication", and after the first reject:
HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized

The client asked for credentials and after introducing it that other request was sent:
GET http://data.brandchats.com/lacaixa.iok HTTP/1.1
User-Agent: Visokio/Omniscope/2.6 b826
Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate
Cache-Control: no-cache
Pragma: no-cache
Host: data.brandchats.com
Accept: text/html, image/gif, image/jpeg, *; q=.2, */*; q=.2
Authorization: Basic ****************************
Proxy-Connection: keep-alive

That is the most standard request, and safest way to send credentials.

Within version 2.7 that behavior has changed, and the "workaround" described above does not work, request being reject by our security system.

Is there a way to answer that issue?

Thanks a lot,
Maxime.]]>
