We are running into a few issues with the date fields from 2 data sources.

DART and DATE
We are connecting to DART and have a DATE field. Based on the Field Organizer, the original format of the DATE comes in as Category. We want to convert this to use a Date/Time format (so that we can run some formulas later on), however, when choosing the Date/Time option in the drop down, it blanks out the entire date entry. I believe we've used this function before, so not sure why this is removing the date entries now.

How can we ensure that a date is read as a date?

SALESFORCE and DATE
We are connecting to Salesforce and also have a DATE field. Based on the Field Organizer, the original format of the DATE comes in as Date/Time. The date format is defined as yyyy-MM-dd and this is displaying properly in the preview. We want to concatenate this date with another column, however, when we do this, the date formatting is being converted to a very long string.

Ex. Start_Date= 2013-01-01
End_Date = 2013-01-31
Campaign_Name = XXX

Formula: [Campaign_Name]+ " ("+[Start_Date]+" - "+[End_Date]+")"

Result: XXXX (Tue Jan 01 00:00:00 EST 2013 - Thu Jan 31 00:00:00 EST 2013)

How can we keep it so that what we concatenate is the same as what is being displayed?

Import: Text imported as very large, rounded number?

We use a database import block. In this import action we import a numeric field called [recordid].

Example:The value of this field is : '62201112040837574000001'

but when imported the value is: '62.201.112.040.837.570.000.000'

Clearly this value is not identical. How can I set Omniscope to import the exact numeric value?

I am using a "Record filter" block to filter for data relating to today’s date minus 14 days (Example 08/01/2013 - 25/12/2012). At the moment I am manually changing the date everyday.

Is there a way of using a formula that automatically updates every time I open the file so the output table always only contains the last 14 days.
In Excel I would use: =TODAY()-14

The source of the data is from a database in which I query at the beginning of the process. I was hoping to add a line to the SQL at this stage to only pull in the last 14 days but again I could not find an option to do so.

Sources: URL source doesn't recognize CSV?

I have a URL which produces a CSV file when I open it in any regular browser. If I add it to a URL source block, Omniscope reads it, but doesn't recognize it's a CSV, so I can't specify the separator etc.

Is it possible to force the type of source, seperator etc?

DataManager: Database import block SQL error?

1) The query returned no records, as the SQL generated was looking for it to contain the text.

2) And while clicking between the "Configuration" "Filters" and "View SQL" tabs it has lost my field selections and gone back to select all

3) Minor UI issue, if you expand the View SQL box horizontally the text wrap extends out so that the SQL string extends across the available view. If you then make the view smaller horizontally it doesn't re-wrap the text but puts a scroll bar on the horizontal axis of box - minor problem, but what's wrong with perfection!]]>

I have data at transactional level, where several transactions can form a single invoice. Assuming one invoice has 3 transactions with a different 'product group' (out of perhaps 10 available product groups), I would like to understand how many invoices contain which combinations of product groups. e.g.

invoice 1
trx1 - 3 apples = FRUIT product group
trx2 - 2 twix bars = SNACK product group

invoice 2
trx1 - 1 orange = FRUIT product group
trx2 - 1 newspaper = NEWSPAPER product group

invoice 3
trx1 - 1 apple = FRUIT product group
trx 2 - 3 mars bars = SNACK product group
trx 3 - 2 oranges = FRUIT product group

I would like to count how many invoices have both FRUIT and SNACK product groups, in this case the overlap should equal 2 (because invoices 1 and 3 have this combination). So far, I have managed to get the number of invoices for each of the product groups separately, but with no overlap between any of them (just 0 values).

Aggregation at invoice level doesn't seem to change anything.
Any ideas?

Based on the TIME field , I need a formula to convert it into a new text field (let's call it TIME_OF_THE_DAY) as follows:

If TIME is between 00:00:00 and 06:59:59 then TIME_OF_THE_DAY field value should be 'night'
If TIME is between 07:00:00 and 11:59:59 then TIME_OF_THE_DAY field value should be 'morning'
If TIME is between 12:00:00 and 17:59:59 then TIME_OF_THE_DAY field value should be 'afternoon'
If TIME is between 18:00:00 and 23:59:59 then TIME_OF_THE_DAY field value should be 'evening'

How can I do it? Can you suggest a script?
