We are upgrading to 2.8. So far we have not encountered any problems in data-flows. We have seen some new features, looks really good. Now we are publishing our 2,7 build dashboards with the 2,8 scheduler. The process works fine, but the field types in the dashboard are not what we expected. Category field have become text, numeric or date fields.

After investigating this issue the problem also occurs when opening the dashboard in 2.8.

Is this the expected behavior?

As we are upgrading to 2.8 we are currently testing running all our processes on version 2.8.
One particular DataManager block operation is really slow in 2.8, whereas in version 2.7 there was no problem.

I isolated the problem in the script. I would like to send the file to you. Please let me know who to contact.

How do the upload and download aspects of the Remote Operation block work? What do the server parameters do... are they added to the URL as URL parameters (e.g., http://www.example.com/myop?param1=foo&param2=bar)?

We have detected in Facebook connector, in wall posts report, the column "Like Count" is empty. Others like "Share count" or "Comment Count" are correct. I attached screenshot.

I am a new user at Investec and the new set of reports we want to create require multiple x-axis headers. The problem is that the later groupings are bigger and it is making the format awful.

Someone said I need to use the function "Headers influence automatic column widths", however I can't seem to find it.

Can someone please assist or point me in the direction of a work around for this?

I use 2.8 b1047 and have problems with the text fields in the filter panel. When the data is refreshed in the iok, these fields do not open. We need to change the filter type, change it back to text search and then it works. Can you please have a look? As we need to automate our processes with the scheduler, it would be nice this will be fixed.

I am having trouble moving charts around a page. Please look at the attached example below. Visokio in places keeps the charts together when moving, others you can move independently of the page. How can I make the charts bigger/smaller? For instance when you look at the middle two charts, the center is defined to the top two charts. However the bottom two charts can act independently. Any ideas on how each chart can move independently?

2.8:
Unable to get the open property of the workbook class.

We only get this error when trying to read from a local file or Google Drive, files from our network drives open without any problems. We suspect this may be down to having concurrent installations of both 2.7 and 2.8 that look at the same 'Visokio' folder (see attached).

It appears with 2.8 having to specify aggregation by "All Records", instead of the defaulted all records aggregation with 2.7 and prior, files created with 2.7 containing aggregate blocks in DataManager without any fields specified will not always get aggregated when ran by 2.8 server.

I have been testing the 2.8 server running 2.7 files, the results are quite random....sometimes some aggregation blocks run properly and sometimes none of the aggregation blocks function.

Please can you advise if this is a bug?

When I try to launch any of the prebuilt scripts, I get the error message (path not found, see screenshot).
It seems that a step is missing in the setup and the scripts library is not properly configured.

We detected that when we create Variables in formulas and then changed the value, this value is not updated in the formulas (keeps the first value and the variable must be removed and re-create).

For example, create text-type Variable "var" with value "a".
Then change the value to "b", but the value being used is still "a".

I'm using Visokio 2.8 r1025.

We use 2.7 and will upgrade to 2.8 when it is 100% stable. However, we and our clients receive an update pop-up message about updating to 2.8 when opening iok files via webstart.

You can imagine this is confusing for people as they are not concerned with omniscope versions, that is our role. Is there a way to turn this message off?

FYI, Web Start is installed/hosted on our own server.

Making a test, I get the error reported in the attached file (client does not have permissions to send as this sender).

I contacted our technical support that verified that connections with our MS Exchange server are ok. Using this connection, they were also able to send emails with the same sender from our Omniscope server using standard protocol smtp commands.

I'd like to know if I have to set some particular configuration (perhaps in the wrapper.conf file) to send emails from within the Omniscope Scheduler.
