This would need to be dynamic as number of combinations may vary by report, by retailer, by time period.

I can identify each unique combination with a reference by collapsing the fields i want to use, but i cannot seem to find a way to then split it either within Omniscope or as part of a publish/export command.

Does this exist, if not could it exist in the future?

As per my HTML attached, I have highlighted the entire box. Rather than using the highlight button in the menu this only highlights a portion of the box. Please change the button to highlight the entire box, matching this manually created HTML. Also you can create the multiple column / Row merging as per my highlighted HTML colde.
Please let you know your thoughts on this.

Possible application:

Suppose each POI is a school and as a soon-to-be parent you may wish to locate within half a mile of a school to ensure your child will be in proximity of a school. If you have a preference of a particular school ie at EC2A 1WS is a top London school then you can find a list of postcodes which falls into that radius. Then this may factor into the equation of where to buy a new home.

This sort of dilemma can easily be applied to setting up retail locations, tourists attractions, planning applications and distance from local transport.


However this has been completed only for a small area of Central London, to apply a similar technique across the whole of London or the UK it will create a massive number of permutations depending on the total number of locations and how many POIs there are. As such I am looking for suggestions and ideas to refine this process down.

I have been encouraged to put this onto the forums to see if others have a similar situation and get some help with this. It has been suggested to use scripting to condense the permutations to a single row to make it it much more manageable, but I have no background in this whatsoever so I appreciate any help I can get on this.

a) there is a function equivalent to IFERROR() or ISERROR() in MS Excel (I can't find one in the list)
or
b) if there is a way to turn off the function error display in content views

Otherwise, it means I have to write some pretty long and complicated nested IF statements to tidy up the errors...

I'll take the opportunity to enlist a few enhancement requests that I have on Pivot 2:

1. An option to turn on/off the font sizing based on measure value.
2. An option to turn on/off grids inside the pivot table.
3. Options to place the vertical pane labels on top/bottom, and similarly a left/right option for the horizontal pane label..
4. Option to set "No background color". Currently, even if I set the bg colour to white, it is set as grey.
5. Seperate options to set the horizontal/vertical axis pane label orientations.

I think once we have these options, this view can completely replace the Excel pivot table option, so anything you can do to prioritise is highly appreciated.

I have the same problem in 2.6b425 however I can't get the table design to change at all! If I add a new table, show all fields, remove any aggregation and then delete the table, when I right click and do show details it hasn't changed!

I have been struggling to find a way to filter my data, so I hope you have some good ideas.

Every single month I am getting data for the entire month. I would like to have a sql filter or insert a command in sql, that only would give me only the last 4 weeks of data.

I am getting all my data from Access which is send to visokio through a pass through ODBC method.

At the moment I have a lot of data that is been passed through and this is slowing down the process when moving from one tab to another.

Do any of you have an idea of how can get this to work? I have week, month, quarter and year to use as a filter.
I would like the filter or command to be self providing regarding what data to use.
For instant - i dont want to have to change any dates every month, but instead just send all my data from access to visokio, and with doing anything, except for pressing "load", and it will automatically filter my latest data out.

Built into the system you can "test" a chain command which not stopping the currently running reports. It looks like the functionaliy is partically built into the system already.

I would like to request the Scheduler to run two chain commands at the same time, thus increasing the system utilization and in general running reports faster.

The reason for this is because I've received a request by a client who would like to monitor the usage of a report by how many images they look at in the details view. I was hoping that I could perhaps use google analytics to monitor the webpage hits of the image site and that each time a detail view loads up that it would count as a visit.

Alternatively but I think a more far fetched idea is whether there is a way to "monitor" the number of times the detail view has been triggered in the software, perhaps expanding into logging the actions of which tab is opened.

I have been asked by quite a few of our clients and I think this feature would be a very powerful addition to the views in DataExplorer.

The simplest use case is as follows:

I have a Bar/Line view with measure X and split by one single field [Field1]. With this new feature, I'd be able to say, "Show only top 10 entries" and an automatic filter will be attached to that Bar/LIne view.

Building on the simplest case, we can think of further generalisations like:

1. Configurable number of entries, i.e. 'top/bottom 'N' entries', N to be chosen by user
2. Top/Bottom 'N' entries, rather than only top entries
3. Extension of the same concept over aggregated measures
4. Function support to enable the same feature through formulae

Please let me know if any of this is possible.
