I'm not talking about the actual calculation of fields, or how long a file takes to refresh - but simple operations such as adding a field, expanding a block, bringing up the right click menu, selecting blocks.

It's not specific to one file, or one block type. It doesn't require a lot of blocks, although as block count goes up, responsiveness goes through the floor to an almost comic degree.

Some of our dashboards are using a lot of data. We are looking into the possibilities of using 'datamart' iok files in order to decrease the dataload in the local Omniscope files. If I understand correctly, it works as follows:

1. IOK file that is the server-based datamart file, and has all the source data in it.
2. Dashboard IOK File, that has the datamart IOK file as its source.

Now I would like to load only the selected data from the 'datamart' file into the local 'dashboard' IOK. For example, I have visits of representatives of all 2013 in my server-based 'datamart' file, but I only want the last 2 weeks refreshed into the local 'dashboard' Omniscope report IOK.

The selection of the data would be done by the end-user and is exactly what I need. Where do I start? Is there an instruction or demo file that I can look into?

I am trying to visualise some data on flight routes. The columns I have are:

I have connected the lines between the cities using long and lat coordinates.

I now want to put a label on the line to show the number of flights, or maybe change colour of line based on how many flights.

Is this possible?

The option to delete all fields in the aggregation block in version 2.7 was very handy. In large datasets, it is easier to delete all, and then reset the fields needed. Now I should set the fields that I do not need anymore in the downstream dataflow to "none" in the pulldown menu? Or I can create a workaround by using a field organiser or validate data block 'above' the aggregation block?

The validate blocks in datamanager files that we saved in 2.7 are not executed automatically in 2.8.
Scheduled chain actions are executed without loading the validate blocks.
This is a cause of a lot of work for us. We need to open the datamanager file and execute the validate block.

We have another problem in 2.8. We have record filter that is set with the ">" argument in 2.7. When opening the same DataManager Record Filter block in 2.8 the argument is changed to ">=". This is causing problems.

CONVERT_LATLONG_TO_OSGBX and CONVERT_LATLONG_TO_OSGBY

These allow you to convert a coordinate from GPS lat/long to British national grid. The provide the opposite behaviour to the existing functions:

I am trying to use the batch output block to send some files out and have chose my output type as 'Email'. I want a pdf to be attached in the email but this doesn't seem to work (it does work for an 'iok' or 'xlsx' extension).
