Is there any quick way to get Month only from these dates?

Export: File security and export to Excel options

Hi guys,
Export to Excel is possible in case a user has a paid license on Omniscope.
When opening an iok file via Java webstart, the Viewer that opens doesn't provide the export option.
This is normal behaviour, but it would be very useful to enable us to give users with a paid license the export functionality in the web start viewer.

We often get this question and cannot deliver as we use webstart.

Just sending the iok file directly would solve the problem, but then we loose control over our file. In addition we monitor the usage of webstart and we loose this as well when sending the file directly.

Is there anything you can do to help?

Deduplicate, but select "latest" records based on date field

Is it possible to deduplicate data, but ensure that the record included in the result set is the "latest" single record as defined by a specific date field. In effect, comparing each of the duplicates and saying, show me the "latest" one only?

Batch Output: cannot read csv file sent by email

I used 'Batch Output' to send an email with attached file in .csv and .iok format. An email can be sent successfully but cannot read the data in .csv file. There has no problem for .iko file.
I tested to publish output via 'Email Output' and attached .csv. There has no problem reading the attached data.

Aggregation: Number of records is always '1' ?

In Graph view with field aggregations set, if I add one more line with 'Number of records', it always show that it has only 1 record. How could I get the total number of record (group by company name)? In the attached picture, one company has 34 records with highest summary but showing only 1 record.

Connect points on map

Is it possible to have singular point still showing on a map even when you use the connect function. Currently I have broken up a boundary file to its outline points which using the connect function I can join up to make a boundary. However I also want to simultaneously show another set of points which lie within the boundary on the same map view. Currently if I show on one map, only the boundary line will show but the individual points will disappear as they don't connect.

2.7 b 231 refresh using server asterisks appear on refreshed file

Hi - On the 2.7 b231 build i am refreshing a file using the Server Edition.This file is refreshed from database and saved/sent out.The field sent out has asterisks appearing on the tab headings.These should not be there as all changes in the original file where committed.

How do i avoid this in the new version ?

View data and variables

Have a tab with two bar chart views. One Current state and the other target state. The difference between the two is affected by a variable which changes the value of a formula over time.

The formula looks like this...

IF([StateAsOf]<[Date],[Source],[Dest])

I have preserve output in formulas turned on in the block where I've created the formula referencing the variable to accomodate for the variable.

Is it possible to FREEZE the value of the variable in one view and hav it still be dynamic in the second? I've tried a query, but the query doesn't seem to capture the value fo the variable.

Batch Output: Could we put timestamp?

2.7 Map Files Inport own map

I have a pdf of a map and i would like to view postcode data over this on omniscope.

In map viewer however it only accepts ilf,vec,map files ...Is there any way they can accept pdf files or a method i can use to convert pdf to one of the acceptable map files.

I have a report that has several tabs of data. Some of these tabs require a scroll bar to view the whole page. I am to export this into a PDF as a report. Can't one tab be displayed as 3 pages i can print out? At the moment I can only print out whats displayed on screen.

Leading Zeros

We used to be able to format a number as a text and pack with leading zeros, so that when it was made into a category for selection it sorted in the right order.
But this function seems to have disappeared, or am i missing something?

subset_UniqueCount behaviour

I'd like someone to tell me if the behaviour that I'm seeing is correct and if its possible to modify this to achieve the intended outcome.
I am using the subset_uniquecount function as follows

subset_uniquecount (field1,subset(field2,"value")) where value is the value which defines the subset and field 1 is the field to "UNIQUE on".

The behaviour that i'm seeing is that it appears to unique the entire data set BEFORE it evaluates the subset but than only returns the values that were unique in the subset. I want the UNIQUE to be performed on the subset giving me values that are unique in the subset, not in the larger set . Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems the order of operations should evaluate from inside out, which doesn't appear to be the case. What am I missing?

Modify data in source repos

is there a way for changed made directly to fields in Visokio tables to be reflected back to the sources (provided they are read/write) that they came from if there are not dependancies on formulas / transmformatios, etc...?

I think I know the answer, but its nice to be able to make changes directly in the tables (which are largely sourced from excel) and then have those reflected in the various views. I suspect that the only way to do this would be to create a table and export it back to Excel (the solution I came up with). Other thoughts/ideas?

Preserving filter settings across multiple tabs

Merging different frequency data

Hello - I would like to merge two datasets where one contains daily data (multiple entries in one day), whereas the other file is monthly (single entry each month). Could you advise on the most efficient way to do that? My aim is to transform the daily file into monthly values. Installation: Removing old versions after update?

Question: is there any automatic way to remove old build versions of Omniscope after installing a new one.
My machine keeps the old version. File shortcuts and start menu links continue to refer to the old version which results in often continuing to run out of date versions.

Error with Email Output

Scheduler: Setting Task Time-outs?

Is there any way on the Omniscope Scheduler to stop XMLs droppped into the Scheduler if they take longer then a fixed time period to run?

I know there is an option in the Scheduler that automates the XML Actions file, however if you drop the xml into the Scheduler manually or through a separate automated file writing process.. Is there a piece of code I can add to the XML Actions file itself to stop the task if it takes longer than a fixed time? Thanks - Ben

Chart maximise

I have a urgent case about one of my report which i was publishing as a database table so i was able to use whenever i want till friday.. Now when i try to update or open it it gives below error.
"Not enough disk space"..

And this is really key report for me, now i m not able to update it so do other reports related with this report.

Datamanager issue "Field name already exists"

I have just tried to update my datamanager in b195 but I am having a problem where I am having the following error:
"Field with name "33" already exists, cannot rename"

I do not have a field named 33 and when I have used the exact same DM on b112, this error is not there. I have tried a couple of other builds (191, 182) and both of these are throwing out the same problem.

Can anyone explain this problem to me?
