I then have a Bar/Line View in which I display this field. I aggregate by another field. In the aggregation I select to recalc the value of my new field using the formula - i.e. calculate the ratio of used amount/total amount for the aggregated values, and then display this in the view.

All works fine until I re-publish the Omniscope file below the blue box using a file Output block set to publish an IOK file. In the new, re-published IOK file, the display doesn't work? I CAN export this by using my Desktop Edition by selecting File->Export->Create Excel Spreadsheet and then chosing the option to export selected data. Please can I ask if firstly if I am missing something and this functionality is available in the free Viewer but I'm unable to find it? and secondly if I'm not missing anything, would it not be far more useful to have this function in the free Viewer from a data visibility point of view? I have two requirements and both are pretty much linked or part of the same solution:

1. I need to show a table view of metrics and their respective values corresponding to current and previous week. Also, I want to calculate the % different (WoW, MoM etc..) based on the user selections. How do I calculate previous week and show it in the data field?

2. If the user selects only quarter and does not select month or week then the current week and month should be taken as maximum of week and month in that particular quarter. Also, based on this, previous week should be calculated in the background and result should appear.

I have attached a file to explain the desired result. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am new to Omniscope and trying to create a simple demo for a transaction table.

In the Pie View, I can select desired columns as Split and Measurement. But, when I select Amount as measurement column, the system automatically defaults the aggregation to SUM, and there is no place to change it.

Basically, what I am trying to achieve is to COUNT the number of Payments(Amount) column in the split instead of SUM all the amount values together in the split.

I also noticed that COUNT can be added in the Statistics box, but it is not what required.

My problem is that I have multiple files and some times these files are empty and the IT people instead of sending me empty files just do not send the files at all (I know i can just create a manual empty file with the same name , but i want the process to be fully automated)- Thanks Ben

The data source is entirely loaded from SQL servers, I have selected from the "Database Table" blocks the 'Update Option' of "Scheduled. Update every: 10 minutes" (note: all these blocks are connected to the servers with username and password, not user authentication). And have selected "Enable auto_refresh" + "Retrieve new data, notify and apply immediately" from the main menu the Data>Automatic Refresh.

If I use our ServerPlus licensed server to save and distribute these files, will my end users be able to leave the report open on their computers using free Viewer, and the report will refresh itself from the database every 10 minutes?

Also, does this relate to a standalone Omniscope file or a Server-based approach. I understand that a Server-based solution is possible with Omniscope although I have only ever used the Desktop Edition of Omniscope. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

The problem is, when we run this through the Scheduler, the action fails because one of the output streams cannot complete. Can you think of any way to resolve this - the problem we're trying to solve is identifying a problem with the data, therefore not publishing the new (incorrect) data into Omniscope but sending out an email to specific recepients to say it has failed and what the problem is?

Is it possible to create an XML Actions task script that will create multiple files (so for example, open a source file, refresh it, save it with a new location as an IOM, then save it with a different new location as a domain locked IOK)?

Secondly, is it possible to have the option to pass a specific empty IOK template file/location within an XML Action script, so (with the above example) open a source file, refresh it, save it with a new location as an IOM, using an empty template file developed from a different source?

If I used either database table or OLAP cube to read data into Omniscope how would this cope with 100 million or so records with a similar amount of fields?

I am also aware 2.8 version is meant to be focussing on performance - have there been any significant developments in data load or are you looking more at processes cross records (aggregation, sort, subset functions etc) for optimisation.
